Life’s strange. On one side, I’ve been fortunate to have projects flowing in, while, on the other, the personal observations have had to be kept at bay.
Ever since I quit working in an office and went independent, productivity has been a roller-coaster.
Some days, I’d be on top of the game, wrapping things up super-quick. Then, there’d be spells where i’d be digging a hole in wet sand, working without any sight of success for weeks on end. Plus, the amount of distractions that come my way are unbelievable.
For example, as I type this, the two ladies of my life are trying to hold parallel conversations with me. Which, for the flow-writer in me, means that work is highly interrupted and eventually, I lose the multi-tasking battle. Resuming a project consumes twice the amount of effort and time, so, in the toss-up between professional deadlines and personal writing goals, it is the latter that ends up taking a back-seat.
Hope dwells though, for there’s a plan brewing. Starting this weekend, I’ve drawn up a chart that has me writing when everyone’s asleep. If this goes well, then there’ll be more experiences getting documented here in a month or so. Let’s see.
For now, there’s a post that’s waiting to be completed and that’s where I’m going to be, till I wrap it up.
