From the Cast Iron Electra and the UCE Thunderbird, the Continental GT and now the Himalayan, Royal Enfield’s motorcycles are an unexplainable attraction. The thing that I deeply respect them for, is the way the company balances the needs of the present, while staying true to their illustrious British origins and classic motorcycling lineage.

I love how each one of them can walk into a Royal Enfield store, or go online and get the best protective riding gear, as per their needs and finances. The company has roped in the likes of Shiro and Rev’it! to achieve this. The Royal Enfield gear portfolio is inspired not only by the motorcycles in their line-up, but also the terrain they frequent and the soul of their riders across the country. Quite befitting a motorcycle brand that is the oldest one in continuous production today.

I still remember the launch of their adventure touring protective riding jackets viz. the Darcha and the Kaza. They were so desirable that I wanted to buy them, even though I knew that my riding would never do justice to either of them!
