Renault India’s newest launch has gotten off to a rocking start – notching up over 25,000 bookings within two weeks. The butch styling on the KWID and the many best-in-segment features seem to have hit a common chord with the Indian car buyer. Always game for a bargain, it has been the competitive pricing range that starts from INR 2.5 Lakhs and goes up to under 4 Lakhs for the top end with all the bells and whistles that’s made this deal all the more sweeter.

Having reviewed the KWID, i’d come away mighty impressed with Renault India’s thought process and approach to the hotly contested sub-compact hatch segment. The same seems to have resonated across car buyers who have given this small Renault a rousing welcome. Stealing away a bit of thunder from the Maruti Alto & Hyundai’s Eon – the KWID has shown that it means business.

Arriving just in time with the festive season, Renault’s innovative Virtual Showroom and the Renault KWID app seem to have received a brilliant response across the country. Mr. Sumit Sawhney, Country CEO and Managing Director, Renault India Operations, said “The Renault KWID has created a huge excitement since its launch and we are thrilled with the response it has received just at the on-set of the festive season. The Indian consumer has shown tremendous confidence and trust in Renault brand, the initial response has been very exhilarating and the bookings are constantly increasing.  We are witnessing remarkable footfalls in dealerships across all regions since the launch of Renault KWID.

With lowest-in-segment maintenance costs and the overall ownership cycle, the Renault KWID is all set to show Indian customers an exciting new way of moving around in style. Deliveries are scheduled to start from next week onward, so be prepared to look at the sub-compact hatch segment in a way that you’ve never seen before.
