Pitter-patter, pitter-patter, the heavens open up on us…
Out by the window, the raindrops start to gather.
Lining up on the grill, they call out to us.
Come watch, they say,
watch us as we take birth, grow & then drop away…
Like the world around us, they too seem unable to stop their growth march.
Feeding hungrily on clouds raining down, they continue to grow…
Until, they grow so big that they can no longer hold on.
And then they lose their grip on reality.
Taking the final plunge, the drop soon hits the ground,
disappearing into oblivion…
like the one’s before & the one’s to come…

Love the pic and the beautiful string of words! The last too linnes are my favorite, disappearing into oblivion…
like the one’s before & the one’s to come…

Glad you loved it. Incessant rains do get infuriating at times, but then there’s this flip-side, where the raindrops reach out to the soul.
Thanks for stopping by.
